Needs Assessment Report to Inform Economic Inclusion Programming in Urban Areas Of Ghana

Summary

This project is part of the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP 2) which aims to benefit poorest households in all regions of Ghana by providing cash transfers to 350,000 households through the LEAP program, reaching 60,000 beneficiaries through the LIPW program; and supporting 35,000 beneficiaries through PI activities to enhance the income-generating potential of poor and vulnerable households. The assignment is expected to produce a detailed Needs Assessment, based on a clear framework and methodology that will inform the roll out of economic inclusion programming in urban areas. 

Focus of the study was the urban areas in the regions most affected by COVID-19, namely Greater Accra Region, Ashanti Region, Western Region, Eastern Region, and Volta Region.
